Information We Collect

1. Location Data

   • What? Your device GPS coordinates.

   • Why? To center the map on you, show nearby outlets, and allow sharing of location‐based pins.

   • When? Only while you’re using the app.

2. User-Submitted Data

   • What? Outlet entries you add: latitude, longitude, type (USB/Wall/Wireless/Other), notes, and (optionally) your “Added By” name/email.

   • Why? To build the shared map of charging points.

   • Storage: Securely stored in Firebase Firestore.

3. Crash & Usage Data (minimal)

   • What? Anonymous error reports if the app crashes.

   • Why? To help us identify and fix bugs.

   • Linked? Not to your identity; purely anonymous.

4. How We Use Your Information

   • Map Centering & Discovery: Pinpoint your location and display nearby outlets.

   • Outlet Sharing: Publish your submitted outlets for the community.

   • App Improvement: Analyze anonymous crash logs to improve stability and features.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

   • Public Data: All outlets on the map are publicly viewable by any user. They are released under a CC0 (public domain) model—use as you please.

   • No Third-Party Sharing: We do NOT sell or rent personal data to advertisers or partners.

6. Facebook Data Deletion Instructions

   • If you signed in to JuiceMeUp using Facebook and wish to delete your data, you can request removal at any time.

   • To request data deletion:

     • Email us at contact.juicemeup@gmail.com with the subject line “Facebook Data Deletion Request”

     • Include the email address or name associated with your Facebook account

     • We will confirm and permanently delete your account data from our systems within 7 business days

   • We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data.

7. Your Choices & Controls

   • Revoke Location: Go to iOS Settings → JuiceMeUp → Location and set to Never or While Using.

   • Edit “Added By”: You may overwrite or omit your name in the “Added By” field when submitting an outlet.

   • Delete App Data: Uninstalling the app does not remove outlets you’ve already shared; they remain for the community.

8. Data Retention

   • We retain user-submitted outlets indefinitely to maintain map completeness.

   • Crash logs and analytics are retained for up to 90 days, then automatically purged.

9. Security

   • Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.

   • Firestore rules restrict writes only to authenticated users (optional in v1).

10. Children’s Privacy

    • Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes to This Policy

    • We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post a new “Last updated” date and encourage you to review it periodically.
